Christoffer Egelund Gallery proudly presents the group exhibition ”Meaning of Void”, showing works by artists; Michael Johansson (SE), Pind (DK), Thomas Fleron Jørgensen (DK), Anna Fro Vodder (DK), Ulrik Heltoft (DK) og Melou Vanggaard (DK). Through various installational approaches, the represented artists explore the void and its’ meaning – some avoid the empty space others applaud it. The works move between the empty and the compact space, between order and chaos, between significance and insignificance.
ARoS | ADAM SAKS | VISUAL VOODOO | April 23 - August 1 2010
Magical tales in a seductive visual universe featuring tattooed sailors, scantily clad women, enormous animals and barren landscapes of disharmony. ARoS' exhibition ADAM SAKS - VISUAL VOODOO offers a visual journey of discovery into the colorful world of fantasy and reality.

In his art Adam Saks works as an explorer. He consistently seeks away from familiar shores and finds his inspiration in faraway places. The exhibition VISUAL VOODOO stands as an artistic journey where Adam Saks, taking his point of departure in both fantasy and reality, invites us into a mythical and imaginative pictorial universe composed of pieces of text, images of sailors, easy women, violent animals, skulls, and desolate landscapes.
Private view on Friday 16 April 16.00 – 19.00

To those who could not attend, here are some photos from the opening reception - enjoy and hurry up and come and see the exhibition - it is incredibly good.

It’s not only a matter of what the matter is.
It’s a matter of what is most important. (Translated from Danish)
This is how you could translate Things That Matter A Lot at Galleri Christoffer Egelund, where the artist Trine Boesen, in cooperation with the gallery, has invited the artists Benny Dröscher, John Kørner, Nina Saunders and Theis Wendt to exhibit, under the above-mentioned title.
What matters? Do all things matter equally? We are not always able to see what matters. Art matters, and art is about something that matters. Art works by showing us what we hadn’t expected to see. Ghosts, for instance. Or chaos and revolt in our everyday lives. When art matters, we are genuinely surprised. It’s compact. Or it’s airy, like a vision when we’re blinded.
